Microblading Final Impression

When you think Microblading, think of misbehaved brows turned into Eyebrow Masterpieces, by Fara “The eyebrow artist”. The process is very simple and absolutely life changing!

It doesn’t matter if you like them arched and feathered or straight and bold, eyebrows are arguably the most important facial feature. If you’re not satisfied with the ones you have, there are so many ways to update them, including brow gel, pencils, and even tattooing. But now there’s a very natural option that delivers semi-permanent results. Moms, I’d like to introduce you to microblading.

Microblading is an Art!!! Using the perfect color of pigment for your skin type from a collection that is applied using a hand held disposable sterile blade to create small hair like strokes, and ultimately the perfect eyebrows. The amazing art of microblading is a semi-permanent, cosmetic, eyebrow procedure. Microblading is the perfect solution for the most misunderstood eyebrows. Recommended for individuals who have over plucked, patchy areas, hair loss or simply have the wrong brow shape.

The beauty of microblading is that only the finest pigment is applied to the epidermis (the first layer of the skin) which leaves natural looking hair strokes while creating the most beautifully contoured eyebrows, EVER!!

I decided to do my research and found Fara Julian (farajulian.com) at the Revive Hair and Skin Restoration Spa (revivehairandskinrestoration.com) in Clinton Twp., MI.  This spa is actually an hour from my home however, after seeing some botched microblading mishaps, I knew  it was worth the drive to go to the best.  The results of microblading are unbelievable! Imagine your eyebrows looking perfect and staying that way for what could last for 18 months!

beforeMy before picture. Dear sweet baby Jesus if I ever come back in another life I PROMISE I will NEVER pluck my eyebrows.  Ok maybe a little, just to give them a cute arch lol.

How it works: The required pigment is deposited into the superficial dermis of the skin with the disposable microblade which allows the technician to create bespoke, crisp hair strokes which look like natural eyebrow hair.

Making sure I get just the right color match while the topical anesthetic works its magic:).  All I can say is I must love my readers because these are some hideous pictures of me!!!!

Measuring to create the perfect set of brows:)

Mom’s I can tell you that this DID NOT HURT!!! I was honestly pleasantly surprised because I was fully prepared for no pain no gain however, that wasn’t the case.  All I felt were little scratch like sensations, and I didn’t require any extra numbing cream for discomfort.

5The picture above (scary I know) was my last placement of pigment before she wiped it away to revel my new AMAZING brows!

luAbove are my before and after pictures from my first session.  I’M IN LOVE!!!

Know that your eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle.

time-lineAbove is typically what you can expect during the 1st 30 days after microblading.  I can say that these pictures are pretty accurate to what I experienced.

The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure.  This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin, and has not yet settled in completely.  The color of the pigment will soften gradually.  I was told not to be alarmed if I saw some pigment on the cotton swab, as this is excess pigment and/or body fluid that is naturally exiting your skin.

This is me the day after microblading.  I was a little concerned with how dark they initially were, but they softened up after about a week. The best part about the technique is that there is no down time. Your new set of brows will be ready for the drive-thru pick up line at school immediately after the process.

Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin.  This might give you the impression thast the color pigment is fading too quickly, however, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows.

best2The picture above is me day 9 after microblading.  The color has lightened and for the most part, all of the scabbing is gone.  I was really lucky in that department and only had really one day of scabbing that shed where my brows didn’t look so hot.

There is a recommend perfecting session 6 weeks after the first application.  This is what my brows looked like the day I went in for my 6 week perfecting session.   I would definitely recommend the 6 week touch up.  I asked Fara if she could give me a little more arch in my brows and there were a couple spots that needed some filling.

Here are the final results and I couldn’t be happier!!!

Moms, if you’re looking to enhance or reshape the look of your eyebrows, this method is ideal for you. Regardless of the amount of hair present on the eyebrow, the results are natural looking, hair-like strokes. Microblading is for anyone suffering from alopecia or anything that causes hair loss, as well as people who merely want fuller gorgeously shaped eyebrows. I no longer have to spend what felt like forever filling in my brows, and it’s so amazing to be able to just put some tinted moisturizer on and go in the mornings.   I give microblading by Fara a BIG thumbs up, and would recommend it to any of my friends and family.

This month at Revive Hair and Skin Restoration they are offering a $50.00 off special for the month of February.  This would make the price for your first microblading appointment $400.00 and $75.00 for your 6 week touch up appointment.  You must book in the month of February to get this amazing special.  Mom’s take advantage of this and go do something amazing for yourself.  This is truly the gift that keeps on giving!!!
